2026 Outlook
As we start off 2026, we are already facing a particularly demanding economic, social, and political environment. The energy, transport, and industrial sectors – which are at the heart of E-CUBE’s expertise – are experiencing turbulence that calls into question the resilience of the decarbonization trajectories underway.
Electrification of end uses is lagging behind, and across Europe electricity demand is not matching the scale of planned investments. Traditional mechanisms driving renewable energy growth are being challenged, industrial sectors such as automotive, steel, and chemicals are undergoing deep and complex transformations, and companies are questioning which paths to take to decarbonise their activities. In this context, uncertainty should not mean inaction: it calls instead for greater clarity, agility, and collaboration.
2026 will be a year to reconcile ambition with realism – finding competitive and sustainable solutions, securing strategic investments, and accelerating meaningful innovations. We believe these challenges are also opportunities to rethink models, strengthen resilience, and build robust pathways toward carbon neutrality.
The E-CUBE team sends you its best wishes for this decisive year. May it be marked by informed choices, strong partnerships, and concrete progress – despite uncertainty – toward a sustainable and responsible future.
